Standard working hours would be 08.30 till 17.30, Monday to Friday, however during busy periods the successful candidate will be required to work at weekends, evenings or night shifts as required from event to event. An overtime structure will be available.

Who we’re looking for;

We now have the opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will work within our current team of Project Managers, as well as alongside the wider technical and warehouse teams.


This is a challenging role with plenty of scope for future career development in a fast growing company in the events industry. The role would be ideal for someone with some industry experience looking to further their existing career, or for someone with experience of project management in another sector who may be looking for an interesting career change into a different area.

Duties:

  • Supporting our existing team of Project Managers in their day to day work on both existing and new projects.
  • Working independently to lead on small to medium scale productions.
  • Working alongside the team of Project Managers on venue installations and bespoke projects.
  • Interfacing with clients to develop and maintain both new and existing relationships.
  • Specifying jobs from the initial concept stage at individual component level.
  • Leading teams of technicians both on site and at prep stage in the warehouse.
  • Deputising for the project management team where necessary.
  • Work on site rigging / de-rigging for events, setting up and operating audio, lighting and video systems.
  • Assist the warehouse team in preparing and de-prepping equipment for hire, with occasional instances of leading the warehouse team.
  • Loading / unloading of vehicles when required.
  • Undertaking deliveries to site when required.
  • Utilising Current RMS rental management software to organise jobs, generate client documents and export prep lists for the warehouse team.
  • Assist the warehouse team with the upkeep of the warehouse / workshop equipment.
  • Ensure company facilities are kept clean and tidy, while assisting with day to day operations.
  • Ensure all company equipment is kept in pristine condition in order to uphold the company’s exceptional standards and attention to detail.
  • Complying with the company’s paperwork process to create hire agreements, undertake risk assessments and generate job paperwork.
  • Complying with all Health & Safety procedures
  • Assisting all other departments in all other aspects of the day to day company operations as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail and high self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability and drive to deliver great customer service.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and solo under own initiative, with great teamwork skills.
  • Good time keeping.
  • Ability to problem solve work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Physical ability to undertake manual labour required for the position.
  • Flexibility and a can-do attitude.
  • Knowledge of Sound, Lighting and Visual systems and their applications is essential.
  • Previous experience working in a project management environment is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience of related softwares (Current RMS / Capture / Vectorworks / RDNET / Novastar / Avolites / MA / Chamsys) would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Full UK Driving License is required.
  • Plant licences (Telehandler / Forklift / MEWP) would be advantageous but not essential.

A full programme of training will be provided to the right individual, from our experienced team of Project Managers.
